This is my second weekend in Auckland, Newzealand. Thought of writing my first blog ever about my stay in one of the most beautiful countries i have ever been to. Seeing this country makes me feel sad as to why our country is not like this or when India will become like this one. anyway, this blog is not about India. so i will leave that chapter aside and will write about my stay here in auckland.
The place where i am staying, Comfort Inn and suites, is located at the heart of Auckland, the most populated city in kiwiland with a population of close to 1.3 million, in Newton road. Its near the famous queen street and karanghape road, popularly called the K Road. i have a nice furnished service apartment with all facilities for cooking and above all a very beautiful view of Mount Eden through the window of my bedroom.A nice company indeed!!! The first things that strikes when one comes to Newzealand is the beautiful landscape, the warmth of the people here, the clean air, water and the Sky tower, which is the tallest tower in Newzealand at an height of close to 350 metres.
One could find people from all parts of the world starting from kiribati to hawaii, which is really refreshing for me compared to other countries where i could only find the local people. Here in NZ,the local people are the Maoris, the whites, Fiji Indians and Islanders(people from neighbouring islands like Tonga & Samoa). Then there is a huge immigrant population from all parts of the world, that includes India too. Crime & Corruption are rare in Newzealand and everything here is based on honesty and trust. People in Newzealand are warm and friendly. They have the kind of "take it easy" attitude and it is rare to find a very serious person. Their principle is work hard during the weekdays and enjoy the weekends. Newzealand has a very vibrant night life!!!Newzealand's most flourishing industry is its tourism industry.they have all sorts like adventure tourisms which include bungy jumping, free fall from sky tower, trekking, Tandem jump from 12000 feet et al. Then there is wine trail, island resorts and lots of other stuff. On the flip side, the cost is on the higher side.

The two weeks that i have been here till now has been good. I went to the Mount Eden which is a dormant volcanic mountain. Meanwhile, the entire auckland region is situated on the volcanic bed and there are lots of volcanic mountains in Auckland. Then, i visited the Kelly Tarlton's Antartic Encounter and Underwater world, where i saw penguins, stingrays and sharks. There are still lots of places of interest and this is one helluva country. if you ever need to see the beauty of nature with a peace of mind, this is one country i would always recommend.
